East Intercourse Island Light Vehicle Washdown

Primero was engaged by Rio Tinto to supply and install a new Light Vehicle (LV) washdown bay facility, inclusive of associated works at the site of an existing, insufficiently equipped LV wash facility at its East Island Intercourse (EII) operations workshop.

Telfer Main Dome Dewatering

Successfully completed Primero’s first dewatering infrastructure construction project, leading to ongoing works for Newcrest at Telfer.

Hopper 9 Primary Crushing Plant

Primero supported RCR Mining Technologies in delivering the detailed design (by way of ECI) and construction of the semi-relocatable Hopper 9 crushing plant in 2020.

Marandoo SWFSF Pipeline and Electrical Upgrade

Included in Primero’s scope was the detailed structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical and communications design drafting, as well as supply and installation of all materials and equipment, including modifications to existing infrastructure and systems as required.

OPF2 Vertical WHIMS Plant

Primero was engaged by Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) to implement a process plant upgrade at its Christmas Creek mine, located in Western Australia’s Pilbara, after having successfully completed an ECI phase.

Pilgangoora

Primero is a delivery partner of choice for Pilbara Minerals and has been actively involved in all aspects of the development and operation of the Pilgangooora Project.

Pogo Expansion

Primero is engaged by Northern Star Resources to implement the Pogo Mine process plant upgrades to increase throughput.

Superior Lake

Primero completed a bankable feasibility study for re-development of the underground Zinc mine, process plant, site infrastructure and, licensing and permitting.

Tujuh Bukit Ore Preparation

Primero was responsible for the process, mechanical, structural, piping and electrical aspects of the detailed design activities as well as management of equipment procurement, site support during construction and commissioning assistance.

Marandoo HME Workshop Extension

Primero was engaged by the sustaining capital group of Rio Tinto to extend the HME maintenance workshop at Marandoo by two bays to provide greater capacity for heavy mechanical maintenance and a dedicated boilermaker workshop.

Mining Area C MEM Precinct

Primero was engaged to deliver detailed engineering and design of new buildings and facilities for mobile equipment maintenance, washdown, lube storage, tyre maintenance, water treatment, power, communications and other services.

Solomon HME Maintenance Precinct

In 2015 Primero self-performed all aspects of the turnkey HME Maintenance Facility Project at Fortescue’s Solomon Hub.

South Flank

Primero was engaged by Clough Australia to undertake turnkey design, construction and commissioning solutions for 4M litres of diesel fuel infrastructure at primary crushing areas 1 and 2, 800KL of diesel fuel infrastructure with the MEM precinct and additional lubrication storage and distribution infrastructure.

Tug Fuel Facility

Primero was responsible for overall supervision and management, including all direct labour for civil works, electrical & instrumentation, commissioning including provision of all plant, equipment and craneage.

West Angelas and Brockman Fuel Hubs

The West Angelas and Brockman fuel hubs are two important nodes within RTIO’s fuel storage and distribution infrastructure.

Yandi Junction Fuel Facility

Primero provided a turnkey refuelling solution for the South Western mine junction, including tying into existing fuel infrastructure at the SW junction’s central fuel farm.

Mt Webber

The project involved a requirement to increase throughput at Atlas Irons existing Mt Webber operation and deliver a 4Mtpa BOO crushing and screening facility operating day and night.

Dolphin Remediation

Primero was engaged by Dampier Salt to undertake a dolphin refurbishment program at their Dampier Operation.

Lake Macleod Radial Stacker Replacement

The Dampier operation was the first DSL site established and is currently the largest producer of the three sites whilst the Port Hedland operation was acquired in 2001.

Varanus Island Tank Life Extension

With extensive experience in the safe execution of tank construction and maintenance projects, Primero has been repeatedly engaged to deliver sustaining capital projects for Santos at Varanus Island.

Barker Inlet Power Station

Primero was engaged by Wärtsilä to execute the design of the site diesel, UREA and lube-oil storage tanks, as well as all aspects of onsite construction including earthworks, piling, civil, structural, mechanical, tanks, piping, electrical and instrumentation works and site management at the Barker Inlet Power Station (BIPS).

Hazer Commercial Demonstration Plant

Primero was engaged by Hazer in an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process from early concept phase which then developed into the provision of our Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services to build a first of a kind Hydrogen production Commercial Demonstration Plant using Hazer Technology.

Hill 60 Power Station Upgrade

Primero was engaged to upgrade its Hill 60 power facility with an additional 2MW gas fired generator to boost power production and supply.

Red Gully Gas and Condensate Processing

Primero proudly delivered the works within budget, schedule, and over 50,000 man-hours injury free.

Bald Hill

Primero was engaged by the Tawana Resources and Alliance Mineral Assets Limited joint venture (JV) to complete the design, procurement, construction and operation of the DMS circuit at Bald Hill.

Battery Recycling and Valuable Metal Recovery

Primero was engaged to assist with the flowsheet development for the process and subsequently design, build and commission a battery recycling pilot plant at Neometals’ facilities in Montreal, Canada.

Browns Range

Primero was engaged to construct the beneficiation and hydrometallurgical plant, collocated at Browns Range in the East Kimberley region of WA.

Grants Lithium Project

Primero was responsible for the execution of FEED services for Core Lithium during the development of their Finniss Lithium project whereby shortcomings were identified and rectified prior to the completion of their DFS.

Wheatstone DOMGAS Metering Facility

Primero successfully delivered the civil, structural mechanical, piping electrical, controls and instrumentation works for the Wheatstone DOMGAS Metering Facility.

Miralga Creek

Primero was awarded a four-year crushing services contract for the Miralga Creek iron ore project in Western Australia.

Barrambie

Primero was engaged by Neometal Limited for the Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS), and this was completed in Q4 2022.

Sihayo Gold

Sihayo Gold Limited engaged Primero over other competitors due to our excellent existing working relationship with PT Sorikmas Mining.

Abujar Gold

Primero was engaged by Tietto Minerals Limited to complete a turnkey design of a gold mineral processing plant, capable of processing 4.5Mtpa of ore and producing over 200,000 oz of gold a year.

Lithium Refinery Prefeasibility Study

The Aurora Lithium Hydroxide Refinery Project is a proposed (25,000tpa Lithium Carbonate Equivalent (LCE)) refinery to be constructed in Portugal.
