Social

We are committed to protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our people, and to play a role in supporting local communities and arresting societal issues. Our first priority is to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of our people. This is fundamental to our continued success.

Health, Safety and Wellbeing
Our safety motto, “Primed for Safety” is not a throwaway catchphrase. But rather, a statement of attitude to ensure we keep our people safe at all times. We constantly review our health, safety and wellbeing performance and implement internal campaigns and measures to improve this. Our Health & Safety Management System is certified to the international standard ISO 45001:2018.

Workplace Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
We recognise the benefits of workplace diversity where individual differences and contributions are embraced. Our priority is to provide a workplace free of discrimination, harassment and bullying, and to increase both female and Aboriginal participation across the whole organisation.

Indigenous Australians
We are committed to respecting the rights of Indigenous Australians and preserving their culture and customs in the communities in which we operate.

Our Indigenous Engagement Strategy is focused on:

  • Cultural recognition and awareness.
  • Indigenous procurement and contracting.
  • Indigenous employment and development.
  • Community involvement.

People Development and Engagement
Our people truly are our greatest asset and are central to our past and continued success.

Our People Development Program comprises:

We can only improve our culture by seeking feedback from our people on what we do well and where we need to improve.

Primero has developed an extensive Employee Engagement Program, comprising:

  • New starter feedback.
  • Employee engagement surveys conducted.
  • Learning and Development sessions conducted across our whole workforce.

Community
We recognise the need and positive impact of supporting the community where we can.

Whilst as a business we do not have infinite financial resources and we recognise there are many deserving community groups, causes and charities, our approach to Community Engagement is based on two considerations;

  1. Partnering with a single charity to arrest a societal issue.
  2. Identifying opportunities to engage our people to support our chosen charity.

We are proud of our team for their fundraising efforts to support a number of charities.

Perth Homeless Support Group
Primero has entered into a long-term partnership with Perth Homeless Support Group, a not-for-profit charity that is 100% funded by supporters with donations of food and necessities for those experiencing homelessness.

  • Cash donation.
  • Christmas Hamper Drive.
  • Fundraising.
  • Staff volunteering opportunities to assist with weekly support activities.

Lauchy Williams
In 2026, Primero partnered with Western Australian rider Lauchy Williams (#53) as he stepped up to compete in the Australian Superbike Championship Supersport 600 class with Stop & Seal Racing. The partnership reflects our commitment to backing individuals who demonstrate discipline, resilience and a strong work ethic, qualities that align closely with Primero’s culture and the way we deliver our projects.

Lauchy is a proud Noongar athlete and one of the few Indigenous riders competing at this level of Australian motorsport. His progression to the national stage is the result of sustained effort, family support and a clear focus on continuous improvement. Primero’s support assists with the practical costs and preparation required to compete nationally, helping create a stable platform for long-term development.

For Primero, this partnership is about investing in people and contributing to meaningful pathways beyond our immediate industry. By supporting emerging Indigenous talent in a high-performance environment, we demonstrate our commitment to inclusion, opportunity and backing those prepared to put in the work to succeed.

Cancer 200 – Ride for Research
Primero proudly supports The Perkins Institute of Medical Research through participating in its annual 200km bike ride from Perth to Mandurah return.

Our team of riders have participated since 2021 and have raised over $504,000. All monies raised provide The Perkins with the financial resources it needs to conduct research in search of a cancer cure.
