Primero was engaged to undertake detailed engineering and design of the West Angelas and Greater Brockman Fuel Hubs.
SCOPE
The West Angelas and Brockman fuel hubs are two important nodes within RTIO’s fuel storage and distribution infrastructure. With a successful background in hydrocarbon facility and safety in design, Primero was engaged to undertake the process and detailed design of the fuel infrastructure for both key sites.
Each fuel hub consisted of three 25m diameter vertical storage tanks designed to API 650, with a combined total storage capacity of approximately 25ML per hub. Each fuel facility receives fuel by train rail car, therefore includes rail car decanting and pumping infrastructure including tank overfill protection systems. The fuel hubs were delivered to budget and commissioned successfully without the need for re-design.
